I need some ideas.....

I found this fabric and I absolutely fell in love with it! However, I have no idea what to do with it. I need some ideas! The floral print is very big and very busy, I'm afraid it will get lost in a pattern with tiny pieces. And the stripes....what was I thinking?!? I'm afraid of stripes and I try to avoid them at all costs...but I couldn't resist this time.

Any ideas? Anyone, anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

Welcome to the world of blogging!! The fabrics are lovely and cheerful. How about using the floral for a stack and whack style quilt - there is one called Four Posies (I think) where you cut squares and 4 squares make the block. You could use the stripe for a border?? Lots of possibilities :)

Do something really "Springy"! I don't know what, but those fabrics sure say SPRING! They are very pretty.
I'm fairly new to blogging too. Visit my blog at:

I would suggest something simple like the floral large squares then get another fabric to go with these and use the green and a yellow maybe in 4 patch blocks, then use the stripe as the border. Similar to what I did on a frog baby quilt, you can see it on my blog. www.quiltsbykathie.blogspot.com

Maybe a pattern that is called 9-patch pizzazz. It allows for large patterned prints.
Have fun with the blogging. I didn't think I'd keep up with mine, but I am getting a few posts written every week.

A pattern that comes to mind is called Bento Box. It is very easy - but you woudl need to find a few more fabrics to go with whta you have - which woudn't be hard to do :c) THose are some fun colors! I love the lemon and lime together!

Welcome to blogging.. I am sorta new at it too... and I have two blogs -one for quilting, the other for family...my goal is to post weekly but being a mother of 3 little ones, that is a hard commitment to keep. but I do what I can when I can.

I've never been invited to a web ring but don't feel I need it - I find that simply leaving comments brings in a lot of viewers to my site. :) and I found yours from your signature line in a heartstrings post. :) good luck to you!

Well I'm glad you commented on my blog or I wouldn't have found you! I'll be back that's for sure:)

As for this fabric, I love it too - so gorgeous! To me, it's screaming out to be made into a bag. I'd do it half and half, (I did one on my blog a little while back) with the floral and the stripe - half on top, half on bottom, and the plainer one as the lining or maybe a strip dividing the other two. You must show us what you do with it! A quilt would be great too!
