Its official! I am now a professional quilt instructor! (?!?!) The catalog for our local Parks & Recreation Deptartment goes to print tomorrow morning. I just got an email with the final class descriptions for my approval: (what do you think, should I ok them?!?)
Tween the Stitches 1 class
Jessica Mauk. Students age 9-15 will learn basic sewing skills while making your very own one-of-a-kind pillowcase! Students will need to bring a sewing machine (if you don’t have one, please contact the instructor so alternate arrangements can be made), 1 yard of 100% cotton fabric (regular cotton or flannel works best) for the body of the pillowcase, 1/2 yard of a fun coordinating fabric for the cuff and 1/4 yard of an accent fabric as well as a spool of thread in a coordinating color. This class will cover the basics of measuring and cutting fabric, pinning the fabric in place and then sewing it all together. Recreation Center.

Impressive, I've taught family members to quilt but haven't ever taught a formal class.
Good luck on your upcoming classes. Teaching children that aren't your own is so much fun. I taught cake decorating to 4-H kids a few years ago and really enjoyed it.
PS- I finally got the pillowcase fabrics in the mail today.
Best of luck on your classes, way cool you are helping others learn to sew.
That is awesome!
