Freaky Friday Fabulous Fabric Giveaway (again)

Last month I hosted a fabric giveaway on Friday the 13th and thought I'd do it again this month. So here we go: These four FQ's are up for grabs. This time I'm going to quiz you a little just to get to know you better. So, answer these questions in my comments section and you'll be entered to win this fabulous fabric. I'll keep this open until sometime next week (but I'll give you a heads up before I close it).
  • How long have you been quilting?
  • Do you prewash your fabric?
  • Do you pin while piecing?
  • How often do you change your needle? (be honest here) :-)
  • How many WIPs are currently lurking in your studio/quilting space?

Wanna see another expample of how to enter?

Hi, my name is Jessica and I've been quilting for a little over two years. I don't prewash my fabric and I tend to not pin while piecing, but notice I'm a lot more accurate if I do (maybe this should be a lesson to me?). I dont' change my needle nearly as often as I should ~ whenever it finally breaks...bad, bad me! And I have two many WIPs to count. YIKES!

See there...easy peasy!

OK, lets see if I can answer all of these -- I've been quilting for 8+ years, I don't prewash but I do pin, and depending on how you define WIP, I only have one but I'm getting ready to start a couple more (UFO's are another story!).

I have been quilting off and on for 18 years-very seriously for the last 3. I do prewash and also do pin-I can't be assured of being accurate unless I do! Change needles? Are we supposed to? I don't unless I break one. If by WIP, you mean works in progress, I have three: one quilt top almost done, one in planning stages with fabrics chosen, and still condsidering pattern, and a tote bag that I have fabrics chosen for, will start on Sunday. If UFO's are added in...too many! I also have two quilts ready to sew bindings down on, and one almost done on the frame, and three more ready to load.

Hi, I'm Terri and I've been quilting for about 25 years, although I gave it up for a few years and have recently taken it up again. I don't prewash my fabric and I don't usually pin while piecing. I don't change my needle often enough either, usually when it breaks, but I'm working on that. I have about 8 WIPs in various stages of completion.

Hi, this is Sue from Niagara Falls NY.

I have been quilting for about 25 years!

I prewash all my fabric except charm squares.

I only pin when I really have too, just too lazy most of the time.

I change my needle after each project, I hate a dull needle.

There are about 15 UFO's lurking in my sewing room, sometimes they make me feel quilty but most of the time I actually enjoy seeing them waiting for me.

Thnks for the chance to win some wonderful fabric.

Hi my name is Heather and I have been quilting about a year and a half now. I love it!! I do not prewash my fabric. I was taught that way and really like it. I only pin the blocks are large and then obviously I pin the long rows together other than that no pinning. I'm about the same I change my needle when it breaks. But I have been paper piecing so I will change it out for that. And I think I have only 8 going right now. Not so bad.;) This sure is a fun thing to do and a fabulous giveaway. Hope I win!! Have a great day

My name is Jackie and I've been quilting 5 months (though I've wanted to quilt most of my life). I don't prewash my fabric and I pin while piecing. I'm still too new at this not to. I don't change my needle very much and I need to learn how to oil my sewing machines. I have 3 WIPS lurking in my dining room as I don't have a dedicated sewing/quilting space. I need a kid to move out for that! :)

Hi, my name is Teala and I've been quilting for a little over two years.
Do you prewash your fabric? I don't prewash my fabric (but used some fabric on a christmas quilt that crazymomquilts said bled) so now I am really nervous about it. Should I be?
Do you pin while piecing? Yes I pin while piecing, it just works better for me.
How often do you change your needle? (be honest here) :-) I was taught after every quilt to change...sometimes I do and sometimes I don't, but I have never had a needle break so is that a good or bad sign? ;)
How many WIPs are currently lurking in your studio/quilting space? By wips do you mean fabric and patterns bought and just sitting around waiting to be started I have four or are those UFOS I don't know what a UFO is...am I setting myself up for some thing here!!

Fun Fun fabrics it would be so fun to add them to my very sad stash. How do you go about creating a stash?

Hi! My name is Pat and I've been quilting for about 8 years. I am a firm believer in pre-washing as I had orange/red combination bleed all over white on a quilt...once! Sometimes I pin and sometimes I don't pin~how wishy washy,eh? Like most~I only change my needle when I think of it...kinda like cleaning the lint out of the bobbin area :) Not sure on the count of my WIP's as I try to finish what I start now but know I have some projects that have been abandon a long time ago :)

Hi MY name is Isabel and I'm in love with fabrics :DD

in fact I have not had the courage to start one, I always think that will be all crooked. I have to gain courage :DD
yes, always wash my fabrics before use them.
I always use pins in my work:)
and I am constantly changing the needle, because I do embroidered work, they twist quickly and I hate that :DD
the last question .... I have no answer: DDD

these are really beautiful fabrics!!
~thanks for this giveaway :D

I have been quilting for 17 years. I do not pre-wash my fabrics and change my needle on the machine once a week...I know it is not enough. I just use pins when I like to match up seams...most of the times I do not use pins. I have so many UFO's, I think around 10-20. I quilt every day!
